건너오다 -- to come across (a street, a river, the ocean, ...). This is a compound verb of 건너다 and 오다. Remember that this is not used when you are the person who is doing the crossing at the moment, as from the point of view of the first person this would be 'going' in Korean. 건너오다 is used when talking to/about a person who is coming, or when talking about oneself after the crossing has already occurred.
