생각 (saenggak) - an idea. 생각하다 means to think. It has a stronger meaning than the English word think, however, and this can be seen in forceful speeches where the speaker makes phrases using the word (...라고 생각합니다), that could not be literally translated into the English "I think that...and I think that...", which would come across as weak in English but not in Korean. In this case, "believe" or "know" might be a more appropriate word.
