Do the dead keep their death secret?
This proverb reminds us that the dead are rarely so courteous as to keep the fact of their death a secret to ensure their survivors do not feel distraught. In the same way, people who suddenly find themselves in the midst of some emergency, can hardly be expected to adhere to the normal rules of politeness.
