This expression is used to say that no matter how hard you try to do something you'll never succeed at something. Even if you were to try your best in this life, literally die and then be reborn to try again in your next life, you still would not be able to do it. ({부정하는 말과 함께 쓰여} 아무리 애를 써도 도저히).
