This is the Sino-Korean form of the pure-Korean word 여덟. It is preceded by the number 칠 and followed by 구.
Usage:
- 제8 the eighth
- 8분의 1 one-eighth
- 팔등신 a well-proportioned figure
- 팔모 eight angles
- 팔불출 a fool; a donkey
- 팔일오 the Liberation Day of Korea (August 15, 1945)
