2001 Outlet (이천일아울렛) is a chain of ten department stores in Seoul, Busan, and Gyeonggi-do. It sells brand names clothing at a discount of sometimes up to 50% compared to that found at other department stores. It also has a grocery store called Farmerslet (파머스렛) and another store specializing in home interior called Modern House (모던하우스).

The first branch of the store opened in Seoul's Dangsan-dong in 1994. The Bundang store opened in May of 2002. The latest branch to open was the Busan store in Haeundae-gu in February of 2006.

Total sales were 246 billion won in 2003.

2001 Outlet is open from Monday to Saturday from 10:30am to 10:00pm. It is never open on Sundays. Different stores may have slightly different hours.

• Dangsan (당산): Get off the at Dangsan Station on Line 2 of the Seoul subway and go out exit 1. (ph: 02-2068-2001)
• Junggye (중계): The 2001 Outlet can be reached by getting of at Hagye Station on Line 7 and then going out exit 1. It is a ten minute walk from the station, on the other side of Junggye Park. (ph 02-948-2001)
• Guro (구로) : Take the Seoul subway to Gaebong Station on Line 1 and then take Maeul bus #5 or #6 directly to the store. The following buses also go past the store: 5614, 5622, 5712, 160, 260, 600, 660, 6640, 660A, 6608, 6638, 6513, 6637. (ph: 02-2064-2001)
• Cheonho (천호) : Get off the Seoul subway at Cheonho Station on Line 5 and then go out exit 3. Walk straight until you reach the Shinhan Bank and then turn right towards Cheonho Market. (ph: 02-426-2001)

• Ansan (안산): The store is a ten minute walk from Jungang Station on Line 4 of the Seoul subway, across from the GS Square (GS스퀘어). (ph: 031-405-2001)
• Anyang (안양): Anyang's 2001 Outlet is located near Anyang First Street. It is a ten minute walk from Anyang Station, on Line 1 of the Seoul subway system, across from the Korea Exchange Bank. (031-449-2001)
• Bundang (분당): The store is a one minute walk from Migeum Station, on the Bundang Line, exit 5 or 6. (ph: 031-786-2001)

Generally on the top floor of the store Modern House offers a variety of home furnishings for the bedroom, kitchen, living room or dining room. The store specializes in what it calls European design. Delivery is free of charge and points obtained here can be used on anything in the entire store.

Usually located near the bottom of the store, Farmerslet is a full sized grocery store offering a large selection of imported foods. Points obtained here can be used throughout the entire store.

[edit] Bonus point card

The store offers a bonus point card that can be used at all of its locations nationwide. It comes in the traditional card format or a key chain. When making a purchase the clerk will ask for your card and then swipe it in the reader. Points can later be used to obtain gift certificates, or Gift Cards, for the store. For every 1,000 won you spend, you get 10 points. With a credit card you need to spend 2,000 won to get the same number of points.

Gift cards

• 15,000 points ---> 15,000 won gift certificate
• 30,000 points ---> 20,000 won gift certificate
• 50,000 points ---> 70,000 won gift certificate
• 80,000 points ---> 120,000 won gift certificate

Even if you don't have your card on you at the time, the points can be obtained up until seven days after the purchase if the recipt is presented to the Customer Service Center (고객상담실). Korean nationals may simply provide their Resident Registration Number (주민등록번호) to obtain points. You can see your total number of points on the receipt.

2001 Outlet reserves the right to wipe their record of your points if you do not make a purchase for over a year.
