Ajou University (亞州大學校, 아주대학교) is a university located in the city of Suwon, to the south of the capital Seoul. It was founded in 1973, and as of 2004 it has a student body of 8,560 undergraduate and 2,394 graduate students. Its faculty numbers 750, of whom 200 are professors at the College of Medicine.
It has received high marks as being one of the best colleges in South Korea in the fields of Engineering, Medicine, Business and Communication & Information.
