American Forces Network Korea, or AFN, is an English-language broadcasting station in Korea operated by the American Military for overseas troops. Even though it is primarily for military personnel and a lot of the commercials are concerning military life and the broadcasters are soldiers, it is often the only source of English-language broadcasting for an expat in Korea. Though Arirang Broadcasting is mostly an English-language station, Arirang has the promotion of Korea as its main goal, and thus AFN is the closest thing most people have to a standard tv channel similar to what one would find in North America.
AFN is channel 2 in Seoul.
