Anshimsa Temple

Anshimsa (안심사, ) was located in Jueung-ni, Dalsan-myeon, Yeongdeok-shi, Gyeongsangbuk-do. It was said to have been built in 638 A.D. A tooth of Buddha's, and ten pieces of his body were said to have been enshrined there. Anshimsa was destroyed in the Korean War and all that currently exists are a few stone things and an arch (perhaps built later).

[edit] How to get there

  1. Take the bus to Biryong from the Cheongju Bus Terminal, and get off 15 to 20 minutes later at Anshimsa entrance (안심사입구).
  2. Take a taxi from Cheongju directly to the temple, will take about 20 minutes
