The Anyang Public Art Project (안양 공공예술 프로젝트), often shortened to just APAP, was founded in 2005 to beautify the city of Anyang. The project has placed modern art sculptures in practically every corner of the city, but its biggest project so far has been the creation of Anyang Art Park.

In the second half of 2007 the city launched the 2nd Anyang Public Art Project (제2회 안양 공공 예술 프로젝트). Information desks were installed at well-trafficked city spots with information about the project and maps of the newly installed works.
