Korean archery (궁도/弓道 signifies archery in general whereas 국궁/國弓 means Korean archery and 양궁/洋弓 means western archery) uses a smaller bow than western archery and can be learned in a number of places. The official organ for archery in Korea began in 1922, underwent a number of name changes (the original name was the Chosun Archery Research Organization or 조선궁술연구회) and now is known as the Korean National Archery Association, or 대한궁도협회.
