Big Rock Brewery is a pub located near Gangnam Station that, as the name implies, specializes in big Rock Beer imported from Calgary. The owner, Andy (Jun-heon) Lee, has been involved in trade with Canada since 1993 and speaks fluent English. There are at least six different types of ale: Traditional Ale, Warthog, Grasshopper, Honey Brown, McNally Extra Ale, and Black Amber. These six types can all be tried at once as a sampler for 8,000 won, each small mug containing 150 mL. A regular mug of big Rock costs 3,800 won for 355 mL, and 6,500 won for 600 mL.
The brewery is a fairly sizable place, taking up the basement and first floor of the building. It opened in late October 2006.

Turn right and go behind the Starbucks, then keep going straight up the hill without turning left or right; you should be able to see VIPS if you look back. The brewery will soon be on the left. If the hill becomes too steep and reaches the library you will have gone too far.
