Boeun (보은군, 報恩郡, reward.favour.county) is a county in Chungcheongbuk-do. The population as of 2004 was 38,300, including:

- 238 non-Koreans.

The county is located in the Sobaek Mountains (소백산맥, 小白山脈). To the west and north is the county of Cheongwon, to the south is the county of Okcheon and the city of Daejeon.
The climate is a central continental one and the average yearly temperature is 10.5℃. The average temperature in January is －4.2℃, and that in August is 24℃. The average yearly precipitation is 1,167mm.
Agricultural products are: apples, pears, jujubes, sweet potatoes, rice, and beef.
