Bukbu Terminal (Daegu)

Bukbu terminal is northwest of downtown Daegu and is a transportation hub servicing the north and west outside of Daegu, such as Gimcheon, Sangju, etc. It's the only terminal still not accessed by subway.

Every taxi driver will know where this place is, if requested. Also, bus numbers 202, 323, 309, 356, 724, and 726 pass through the area.

[edit] Migrant worker business district

The terminal is also a popular transportation hub for the migrant workers who work in the factories in areas around Daegu and the Gyeongsangbuk-do region. As a result, many businesses, services, and restaurants have been established to serve the thousands of Sri Lankans, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Indonesian, Vietnamese, and Filipino workers who frequent the station.

[edit] Cellphones and phone cards

There are many stores located around the station that sell cheap long-distance calling cards. The stores also have great selections of new and used cellphones. Two stores in particular that have great selections of phones are Ace Mart and Asia Mart. Both stores are located on the main service road leading to the station and have identical orange signs. Both owners speak some English.

[edit] Halal foods and imported goods

Ace Mart and Asia Mart have good selections of imported foods from Indonesia and Central Asia. Ace Mart also has a freezer that has lamb. There are a few stores in the area that sell Halal foods and goods, as well. There is also a good store for Chinese immigrants, which sells Chinese goods, souveniors, and alcohol.

There are two popular Indian restaurants across the main street running past the street to the station, which are called India Gate and Ali Baba. There is also an Indonesian restaurant on the service road, called Blok M.
