Camp Bonifas is the base camp for the United Nations Command Security Force--Joint Security Area. It is located 400 meters south of the southern boundary of the Demilitarized Zone. The US military has since turned over the base to the control of the ROK Army and have relocated US personnel down to Camp Casey.
Soldiers of Camp Bonifas are usually the ones that will accompany you on DMZ tours of Panmunjeom.
