Camp Henry is a US army base located in Nam-gu, Daegu, Korea. Located in the vicinity of Daegu's other 2 bases, Camp Walker and Camp George, Camp Henry's major tenant units are the 19th Sustainment Command and US Army Field Support Brigade-Far East. The Camp is based on 51 acres, which mostly consists of administrative buildings, community facilities, troop housing, and recreation areas.
Camp Henry was originally built by the Imperial Japanese Army in 1921 and served as the headquarters of the Japanese governor-general of Korea, who oversaw all of Japanese-controlled Korea from 1936-1942. Camp Henry was named after Medal of Honor recipient First Lieutentant Frederick F. Henry, who fought in the Korean War.
