Hmm..I was wondering how we should tactfully address some of the underbelly of Korea. In this case, we hypothetically could leave this as 'Hostess bars' for tact, and then have 'Juicy bars' redirect to it. We could write tactful overview of it on the article page and then maybe a little more dirt can be allowed on the Talk section.
Nevertheless, we need to make sure that we don't go down the road of WorldSexGuide and encourage addresses, locations, and testimonials of Korea's various forms of prostitution. Maybe at the top of every Talk page for articles that touch on the dirty side of Korea, we can put up a default template with links to WSG or Mongers forum on Expats. That way, we shrug of accountability.--Galbijim 09:40, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
- Yeah, I was thinking about that as well. My view on the matter was that we should be able to include anything that is legal, whether tasteful or not, and delete anything that obviously isn't. It would have to be direct though - some would say 'people at those bars are probably working without a visa and so it's probably illegal' but that's just speculation if the service itself is legal, whereas with prostitution the act itself is illegal so we would delete pages on that. General listings like 'Hooker Hill is a place in Itaewon that blah blah blah' would be okay but tips and so on, anything that encourages people to go wouldn't be. I got this listing from Ulsanweb. mithridates aka 데이빛 09:58, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
