Cheongdam-dong (청담동, 淸潭洞 - blue.lake.district) is an area of Seoul, located in Gangnam (강남구), and the richest part of the city. Cheongdam-dong is the area in which famous and aspiring Koreans gather at the large number of bars and coffee shops in the area. Cheongdam-dong stretches to the north up to the Han River.

Cheongdam-dong began to experience a large construction boom during the 1970s with such events as the moving of Gyeonggi High School (경기고등학교) to the area and the construction of Yeong-dong High School (영동고등학교), which brought a large number of families moving to the area for its educational opportunities.
