Cheongju International Airport is a domestic airport near the city of Cheongju, which also serves the city of Daejeon. Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Hansung Airlines and China Southern fly to this airport. There are some charters from Taiwan. Its IATA airport code is CJJ. It was started in 1997, and has two runways with a length of 2,740 m and width of 45m and 60m. It is capable of a maximum of 196,000 flights per year.
