The Chiak Mountains are located just about 30 minutes by city bus from the bus terminal in Wonju City. The Chiak Mountains is a group of mountains that rings the city. There are several nice hiking trails and a temple about halfway up the most popular mountain in this chain. From Guryongsa Temple 구룡사, it is still another hour or more to the peak.
