This page is a tutorial for how to access, upload to, and download from the Galbijim Clubbox space.
[edit] The Basics
This tutorial will guide you through the process of logging into Clubbox and then downloading and uploading files from it.
[edit] ActiveX Plugins
When you use Clubbox for the first time, you will be asked to install several ActiveX plugins. If you are using Internet Explorer, a small yellow bar will appear at the top of the window prompting you to install the plugins when you need to. Click the bar and choose to install them each time. Occasionally the installations will not register the first time, and you will need to refresh the web page or repeat a step in order for the plugin to begin working properly.
[edit] Logging in
Go to http://www.clubbox.co.kr and enter your password and ID in the blue box in the right-hand corner. Your ID will go in the top box and the password in the bottom box. Then click the button shown inside the red square in the image above

After logging in, you will see the shortcut menu on the left-hand side labeled 박스 바로 가기. Click the drop down menu and click on the Galbijim Clubbox as shown in the image above. Alternatively, you can use the box's web address which is http://clubbox.co.kr/galbijim.
[edit] The Main Screen
The image at left shows the main screen that you will use to navigate through the Clubbox and upload and download files (click it to see the full-size version). It is similar to a file manager that you would use to navigate through your hard drive. There is a list of folders on the left hand side and list of available files in the middle.
Folders - Click on the folders to open them and see their contents listed on the main screen. Click on the top menu item labeled View All (천제 파일 보기) to list all of the clubbox's files at once.
Download - Click this button to begin dowloading all of the files you have selected. A file is selected by checking the file's Check Box. When you click the Download button, the File Download Guide Window will open. See below for more information on the File Download Guide Window.
Upload - Click this button to upload a file from your hard drive. When you click this button, the File Upload Window will open. See below for more information on the File Upload Window.
Refresh - Click this button to refresh the file list and see the latest files that have been uploaded
Download This - Click on the text that says 파일받기 to directly download an item.
Page Navigation - Use these buttons to navigate through the file lists.
Search Function - Enter a word that you want to search for in the text box and click the white button marked 찾기 located on the right. The search function will search for item titles and filenames.
Current Folder - Displays the name of the current folder
[edit] File Download Guide Window
When you click on the Download button on the main screen, the File Download Guide Window opens as shown above. Here you can check the list of files to be downloaded. Click the Download button to continue or the Cancel button to cancel the download. If you continue with the download, the Transfer Manager will open. See below for more information on the Transfer Manager.
[edit] File Upload Window
This window allows you to select files for uploading. It appears when you click the Upload button from the main screen.
Choose Folder - Click this button to choose which folder in the clubbox will hold your files. You must choose a folder. If you get an error while uploading, it is probably because you did not choose a folder.
Add File - Click this button to select a file from your hard drive to upload. When selecting files, you can hold down the left CTRL button and click several files to choose multiple files at once.
Delete - Click this button to delete a file from the list of files to be uploaded
File List' - A list of the files that will be uploaded when you press the Upload button
Upload - Click this button to begin uploading files. When you click it, the Transfer Manager will appear (see below).
Cancel - Click this button to cancel uploading and close the File Upload Window.

This window allows you to check the progress of your downloads and uploads, and either pause or restart them.
Download/Upload Tabs - Click on these tabs to switch between viewing your current downloads and your current uploads
Settings - Click to view your download settings including the destination folder for your downloads
File List - The list of files you are currently transferring.
Pause/Start - Click this button to pause or start your downloads and uploads.
[edit] Subtitles
Subtitles are available in the form of SRT files. These are seperate text files that the media player reads and displays as it plays the video files. We recommend using the Gom player for playing subtitled movies (see below).
Take the following steps to use subtitle files.
1. Download the video file and the subtitle file. The subtitle file will have the same name as the video file but with an SRT file extension.
2. Place both files in the same directory. Also, make sure they have the same name.
3. Play the file with the Gom player. The player will automatically read the SRT file.

Gom player is a free professional media player that is the easiest way to play all of the clubbox files and use all of the subtitles. There are a variety of rare media formats and codecs used in Korean media files. The quickest way to to get a player that handles all of these is to just download the Gom player made by a South Korean company. It's also convenient because it automatically handles subtitle files.

[edit] Frequently Asked Questions
[edit] How do I find/change the destination folder for my downloads?
In the Download Manager, click on the Settings tab. The destination folder is listed at the tob of the tab. Click the button in the top-right corner labeled 변경 to change it. In the window that appears, pick a folder and click the button labeled 저장.
[edit] My download stopped. It's not complete and I didn't press pause. What happened?
Sometimes the program is buggy. In the Download Manager, right-click the download and click 일시정지. Start another download. When the programs completes the other download, it will resume the paused download.
[edit] Can I view files that are only partially downloaded?
Sometimes. When clubbox downloads a file, it creates a temporary NEO file which you can find in the destination folder. Try opening the NEO file and playing it with Gom player.
[edit] Something weird happened. What should I do?
Clubbox is not a perfect piece of software. It's a bit wonky and it acts up now and then. Just redoing something or hitting the refresh button is usually enough to get it working. Or try banging on your computer with a shoe.
