Daejin Beach is located in Daejin-ri, Yeonghae-myeon, Yeongdeok county, Gyeongsangbuk-do. It is 400 meters wide, and the water is shallow, at 1-2 meters deep. It is a popular area for fishing as well, since seawater and freshwater (from Songcheon Stream) mix here. The beach is officially open from July 10 to August 20.
It gained some fame through the movie Failan (파이란), as a number of scenes take place at the beach and in Daejin-ri.

Buses bound for Daejin Beach leave from Sangbong Bus Terminal. Also, buses from Gyeongsangbuk-do head for Yeonghae.
