Dak-galbi is a favourite of Chuncheon - there are whole neighborhoods of dak-galbi restaurants there. Also popular in northern Gyeongsangbuk-do.
This dish is presented in a shallow but very wide pan. It is placed on a burner at the table for continued cooking. Ingredients are chicken chunks and cabbage and onions and peppers in a chile sauce. When a substantial amount has been eating, then rice or noodles are added, and mixed in with the remaining sauce. Dak-galbi is a favourite to accompany liquor consumption.
