Donggo Fortress (Myeongnyeonhwamunwadang) is located in in Wansan-gu, Jeonju-shi, Jeollabuk-do. It was built in the time of King Gyeonhwon. Its ruins were rediscovered when excavation in that area began in 1980. In 1981 it was classified as Jeollabuk-do Memorial No. 44. The castle measures 314 by 256 meters and the fortress walls were 1,588.3 meters long.
