Fast Food has certainly conquered the known world and it has definitely had its way with Korea's evolving tastes. Koreans still remain somewhat finicky when it comes to their fast food, however. In the 90's, Taco Bell came and went, largely due to Koreans reluctance to embrace it (and the owners' impatience to cultivate it). Denny's was also sent packing, along with Carl's Jr., Wendy's, and Hardees. But how much of those failures were influenced by finicky tastes, corporate mismanagement, or simple impatience, is anyone's guess. But since the turbulent 90's, Korea's tastes have evolved. In a country that traditionally never liked to eat with it's hands, Burger King, McDonald's, and Subway Sandwiches are fixtures, as is the chicken rage for KFC.

The following is a list of popular fast food restaurants in Korea.
