Jeollanam-do is especially known for its seafood, owing to the large number of islands and the coastline that borders the southern and western portions of the province. There are a lot of traditional tea houses in the countryside. These are not to be confused with 다방 (Dabang), which generally serve instant coffee and tea to older residents (and sometimes offer companionship and extra services). Traditional tea houses are usually surrounded by a small garden and serve an assortment of teas. The list below is meager, but constantly growing.
