Korean verbs come in many forms. To conjugate them you must start with the 'dictionary form', which will always end in -다. Like so:
To conjugate a verb, first, drop the -다. This will give you the verb stem, like so:
Now you must replace the -다 with either -어요, -아요, or just plain 요. The choice depends on the verb stem. If it ends in

Exceptions are made for 하다, which conjugates as 해요, and for verbs which end in ㅡ, in which case the ㅡ changes to ㅏ, as in
