 Front of a typical GS 25 store. GS25 (지에쓰이십오), formerly known as and often still called LG 25 (엘지이십오), is the largest convenience store chain in Korea. The name was changed to GS 25 in April, 2005. It has had over 1000 locations within the country since the year 2002. The head office is located in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul.
The store's English slogan is "Friendly. Fresh. Fun."
There are some plastic tables and chairs set up outside of most GS25 stores. Whether its warm out or cool, night or day, foreigners and Koreans can often be found drinking very cheap beer out front. GS 25s are well known as good places to make easy friends.
