Geumnamno Park (금남로공원) is a small plaza in the Chungjangno district of Gwangju. Exit 1 of Geumnamno 4-ga Station opens into the plaza, which is often used as a performance space. The most striking features are the staircases on either end, which light up and change colors at night. There is a small path along the outside of the park and there are a number of benches. Nearby attractions include the shops and restaurants in Chungjangno, Gwangju Park, and Gwangju Hyanggyo, a Confucian academy.
