Geumsan (금산군, 錦山郡, silk.mountain.county) is a county in Chungcheongnam-do. The population as of 2004 was 60,620, including:

- 572 non-Koreans.

To the east are the counties of Yeongdong and Okcheon in Chungcheongbuk-do, to the northwest are the cities of Nonsan and Daejeon, and to the south are the counties of Wanju, Jinan, and Muju. The county is 24 km from east to west, and 32 km from north to south.
Some of the mountains in the county include Daeseongsan (대성산, 705m), Seodaesan (서대산, 904m), Cheontaesan (천태산, 715m), Guksabong (국사봉, 668m), Wolangbong (월앙봉, 529m), Seongjubong (성주봉, 624m), Yanggaksan (양각산, 566m), Gibong (기봉, 539m), Surobong (수로봉, 506m), Deokgibong (덕기봉, 556m), Daedusan (대둔산, 878m), Odaesan (오대산, 569m), Jillaksan (진락산, 732m), Maisan (마이산, 627m), and Mangwolsan (망월산, 308m).
As Geumsan is located away from the sea it lacks its moderating influence. The average yearly temperature is 11.8℃, the average in January is －2.7℃, and the average in August is 25.8℃. The average yearly precipitation is around 1,300 mm.

The average elevation in the county is 250 metres, and sometimes extending up to 400~900 metres. There is a large amount of ginseng production in the county.
