Geumseongsanseong (금성산성), Mt. Geumseong Fortress, is located in Damyang county, Jeollanam-do. It lies atop Geumseongsan, and was reportedly build during Korea's Three Kingdoms Period (accounts are mixed, but perhaps during the 13th century, according to one source) [1]. The length of the wall is 7.345 km, and the site takes up 1,197,478㎡ of land. It is designated as Historic Site no. 353.
[edit] Getting There
Visitors can take a bus or taxi from Damyang Bus Terminal. The fortress is of course also accessible by the numerous trails running up and down Geumseongsan.
