Gongneungcheon
Gongneungcheon
Hangul: 곡능천
Hanja: 曲陵川
Revised Romanization: gongneungcheon
McCune-Reischauer:

Gongneungcheon (곡릉천, , bent.hill.river) is a stream in the cities of Yangju, Goyang and Paju in Gyeonggi-do. It starts from the mountain Chaelbong (챌봉, 516m) and eventually flows into the Han River. It is the largest of all the tributaries in the city of Goyang, has a total length of 30.5 km, and a watershed of 253.05k㎡. Up until about a decade ago the stream was quite plentiful with fish and cranes, but with the development of the new city of Ilsan pollution has increased dramatically.

A workshop (곡릉천 환경복원을 위한 공동 워크숍) was held in the city of Goyang in April 2006 to discuss the state of the river and restore it to its former state.
