Goseong (고성군, 固城郡, hard.castle.county) is a county in Gyeongsangnam-do. The population as of 2004 was 57,736, including:

- 336 non-Koreans.

To the northeast is the city of Masan, to the west is the city of Sacheon, to the south is the city of Tongyeong, and to he north is the city of Jinju.
The Byeongyeong Mountains (병영산맥, 兵營山脈) pass through the county from east to west, with such smaller mountains as Yeonhwasan (연화산, 蓮花山:477m) and Georyusan (거류산 巨流山:571m).
The county is close to the sea and there is a relatively large amount of precipitation. The average temperature in January is 2.0℃, the average in August is 26.5℃, and the average temperature over the year is 14.5℃. The average amount of precipitation over the year is 1,334mm.
