Gurye (구례군, 求禮郡, seek.ceremony.county) is a county in Jeollanam-do. The population as of 2004 was 30,341, including:

- 109 non-Koreans.

To the north is the city of Namwon in Jeollabuk-do, to the south are the cities of Gwangyang and Suncheon, to the east is the county of Hadong in Gyeongsangnam-do, and to the west is the county of Gokseong.
There are a large number of mountains in the northeast of the county. Some of the mountains include one of the peaks of the famous Jirisan at 1,507 metres, Hwangjangsan (황장산, 942m), Manbokdae (만복대, 1,433m), Daedusan (대두산, 775m), Cheonmasan (천마산, 658m), Gittaebong (깃대봉, 691m), and Baegunsan (백운산, 1,218m).
Gurye is located in an area somewhat away from the ocean with more rain than the average county. The average yearly temperature is 12.2℃, the average in January is -1.3℃, and the average in August is 25.1℃. The average yearly precipitation is 1365.5mm, and 53.4% of this falls in between the months of June to August.
