Gwangju Hyanggyo

Gwangju Hyanggyo is located in Nam-gu section of Gwangju. It has been suggested that this Confucian academy dates to the 15th century. It was moved to its present location in 1488, and was rebuilt in 1910. Today Gwangju residents take advantage of the Chinese language and calligraphy classes held there.
