Guus Hiddink Stadium
(Redirected from Gwangju World Cup Stadium)

Guus Hiddink Stadium is a football stadium in Gwangju. Initially the stadium was named "Gwangju World Cup Stadium" to host some matches of the 2002 FIFA World Cup. To honor the South Korean national team coach Guus Hiddink, who helped the team advance to the semi-finals for the first time in its history by defeating Spain in that stadium, they renamed it after him.

K-League team Gwangju Sangmu Phoenix play their home matches at this stadium.
