Haebangchon (해방촌) is the local name for the district of Yongsan 2-ga, which is a neighbourhood in Seoul near Itaewon. Haebangchon is about a 15-20 minutes walk northwest of the main Itaewon commercial area and is nestled in between Yongsan Garrison and Namsan. The area is arguably the second most popular place for foreigners to live, after Itaewon. To get there, go to Noksapyeong Station, and go out exit 2. Walk straight for about 10 minutes until you see a lot of massive clay pots on the left just before a Century 21 real estate agency.
Recently, the area has become more popular due to the establishment of the Haebangchon Music Festival.
