Hatae-do (Heuksan-myeon, Shinan)

Hatae-do (하태도) (, under.lichen.island) is a very small island in the county of Shinan (신안군) in the province of Jeollanam-do, but way off from the coast and close to the southwest corner of the country. It is the southernmost of three islands that form the Tae-do archipelago, the others being called Jungtae-do and Sangtae-do. They are located in Heuksan-myeon.

  • Population: 119 (as of 2001)
  • Highest point: 156.9 meters
