To make an international phone call, you need to know the phone number of the person you're calling and the country code of the country they're in.

1. Dial 001; this lets the phone system know you are dialing to outside of South Korea.
2. Dial the country code. If calling the USA this is 1.
3. Dial the person's phone number, including the area code.

So for example, if you were to call your family back in New York, you might punch in something like

001 1 212 555 5555
