There are several ways you can watch NHL hockey games in Korea, and most of them are totally free. There are a few bars in large cities, such as Rocky Mountain Tavern, which show full NHL games which have been pre-recorded.
[edit] Live games
There are a few options for watching live games over the internet. One is the NHL's official Center Ice Online Package, which allows you to watch up to 40 games a week. Center Ice does not carry every game -- national telecasts are excluded from the package and if your IP address is in the US or Canada local telecasts may be blacked-out.
You can also try free streaming services including MyP2P and Hockey Webcasts. For certain games you may need to download the SopCast Player, which is free. Other games can be streamed through your web browser or through Windows Media Player. Hockey Webcasts also keeps an archive of links to highlights videos arranged chronologically for each team. You can also try ChannelSurfing.
[edit] Recorded highlights
The National Hockey League puts highlights from every game, including playoff games, on YouTube using their account NHLVideo. Follow this link to see NHLVideo's front page. Being on YouTube they are, of course, free to watch.
[edit] Audio-only
Some NHL teams, including the New York Rangers, make radio broadcasts available through their own websites. Hockey Webcasts also maintains links to these radio broadcasts.
