Hwadong-myeon is a myeon of Sangju-shi, Gyeongsangbuk-do. On its north and west sides will be found Hwaseo-myeon. To its east is Naeseo-myeon. Moseo-myeon lies along its southern border. Short boundaries on the west are shared with Boeun-gun's Maro-myeon and Okcheon-gun's Cheongsan-myeon. A large manufacturer of manhole covers [1] is headquartered in Iso-ri in this myeon.
