Hwanseon Gul

Hwanseon Gul (환선굴) is one of the largest limestone caves in Asia. It is located in Gangwon-do, on the east coast of Korea. Surrounded by scenic mountains, the cave is 6.2 km long - but only 1.6 km is open to the public. The section open to the public contains 10 pools, 6 waterfalls, a huge main chamber, and dozens of amazing sites and formations. From Seoul, take a bus 3.5 hours to Samcheok (삼척), then ask about the shuttle to the cave at the information booth located beside the bus terminal.
