Ian-myeon

Ian-myeon (이안면) (利安面) is a myeon in Sangju-shi, Gyeongsangbuk-do. To its east is Hamchang-eup. To its south is Gonggeom-myeon. On its west is Euncheok-myeon. On its north is Mungyeong-shi's Gaeun-eup and the dongs of Jeomchon.

  • Area: 5246 hectares
    • Cultivated: 1206 hectares (23%)
    • Forested: 3438 hectares (65.5%)
    • Other land use: 602 hectares (11.5%)
  • Population: 2740
    • males - 1325
    • females - 1415

[edit] Transportation

  • Bus: Local buses traveling between Jeomchon and Nongam stop here. Also take local buses from Sangju Bus Terminal.
  • Car: Highway 3 and the No. 45 Expressway pass through this myeon, as does Road 32.
  • Trains: The tracks pass through this myeon, but the nearest station is at Hamchang.
