The Imjin River (임진강, 臨津江) is a river beginning in Beopdong County in Gangwon-do and flowing in between the cities of Gaeseong, the county of Panmun (both in North Korea) and Paju County in Gyeonggi-do, before finally flowing into the Han River. It has a total length of 244 kilometres and a watershed of 8,897.24㎢, and is the primary tributary of the Han River. Tributaries to the Imjin River include Gomitancheon (고미탄천, 古味呑天, 114km), Pyeongancheon (平安川, 81km), and the Hantan River (漢灘江, 130km).
