Jecheon (제천시, 堤川市; embankment.river.city) is a city in Chungcheongbuk-do. The population as of 2004 was 139,403, including:

- 531 non-Koreans.

Jecheon is located slightly to the north of the middle of the country, but transportation is not too difficult. The easiest way to get to Jecheon from Seoul is by heading east and then heading south after getting to Wonju. There are about 25 buses leaving between Jecheon and Seoul, beginning at 6 am and with last departures at 8 pm.
