Jeju International Airport

Jeju International Airport (Hangul; 제주국제공항, Revised Romanization of Korean; Jeju Gukje Gonghang, McCune-Reischauer; Cheju Kukche Konghang) is the 3rd largest in Korea, just behind Gimpo Airport in Seoul. It is located in the city of Jeju in the self-governing island of Jeju-do. It was established in 1968.

Jeju International Airport serves many mainland destinations in South Korea, as well as international destinations in China, Japan and Taiwan. The airport is one of the few airports in the country that is located close to the main city it serves; Incheon International Airport for example is located about 40 minutes from Seoul, and Busan International Airport is also located in the city of Gimhoe. Jeju International Airport, however, is located about five to ten minutes from downtown Jeju City.
