John Mark Karr was an English teacher in Korea in 2001. He had been accused in the killing of Jon Benet Ramsay, in Boulder, Colorado in 1996. He was returned to Colorado from Thailand, but DNA testing showed that he was not the responsible party, and charges were dropped.

• According to Jon Benet's autopsy report, she was killed with a white cord, looped around a 4 1/2 inch stick that had the word "Korea" printed in gold lettering on it.
