Jungdong-myeon is in Sangju-shi, Gyeongsangbuk-do. This is the only myeon of Sangju-shi that is to the east of the Nakdong River. To its north is Yecheon-gun's Pungyang-myeon. To its east is Dain-myeon and Danbuk-myeon of Uiseong-gun. To the south is Uiseong's Danmil-gun and Sangju-shi's Nakdong-myeon. To the northwest is Sabeol-myeon.
