Jungdong-myeong is in Yeongwol-gun, Gangwon-do. To its west is Yeongwol-eup. To the south is Hadong-myeon. To the southeast is Sangdong-eup. To the north is Jeongseon-gun with, from east to west: Gohang-eup, Sabuk-eup, Nam-myeon, and Shindong-eup.
