Jungtae-do (중태도) is a very small island in the county of Shinan in the province of Jeollanam-do, but way off from the coast and close to the southwest corner of the country. It is the middlemost of three islands in the Tae-do archipelago, the others being called Hatae-do and Sangtae-do.
